I have an online application that I am importing to excell. Each line item is supposed to import into a single row spanning accross multiple columns. However, I have one column that chooses to import onto multiple rows. This prevents me from using any sorting functions on the data, which is the reason I am importing to excel in the first place. This problem cell is a narrative that splits accross multiple cells for some reason. The only solution I have found so far is to invidually merge the multiple cells for each line item. This would take days as I have thousands of line items. Please advise.

Thanks,

Greg

Is there any commonality to the split rows that could be used to draft a rule to fix them? If so, we could write a macro to rejoin them, but only if there is a definable pattern. If you'd have to do each row by hand because there is no definable logic, then I'm afraid that you are possibly out of luck.

If you have a sample of the data we can look at, it might help to upload it so we can see...
