Excel file in SharePoint folder as the data source for Power Query

Hello,

I have several excel files in a SharePoint folder which I am trying to use as a data source for Power Query. Once I get this into Power Query, I can transform and merge with other data to get the desired results. I am getting error when I am trying to connect using following methods:

(1) New source -> Other sources -> Web

(2) New Source -> Other Sources -> SharePoint Lists
We encountered an error while trying to connect. Details" "Microsoft.Mashup.Engine1.Library.Resources.HttpResource:Request failed.

Any suggestion or solution will be greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend that you create a blank query and use this function instead:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt260894.aspx

That way you'll be able to connect to your specific folder in your SP site and get the files that you need.

I am trying to pull in the data from a report (SharePoint reporting services) with .rdl extension in a SharePoint folder. Do you know if I can pull this data into PowerQuery?
