Hey Guys
I'm currently developing an extensive power-pivot concept. For this I transform and structure the data into a corresponding form with Power Query.
Until now I have not worked with records of over 1 million lines.
We have an Access database. I believe that this is filled via an ODBC database from an Oracle database. So that not everyone has to apply for access to this Oracle database, this is probably done via Access. The database is large 35 columns X 2mio records. So far, I have used a view for an extract of the database. This was also the reference for PQ. As I read this now (Query Folding) it does not make sense to use a view. Apparently it should be better to grab the table directly, right? What tips would you have for me to work with this amount of data? The refresh of the data in Excel probably takes about 5 minutes.I look forward to every contribution and will gladly provide further information if required.
Best regards
Joshua
