I'm looking for a formula for POY Extract Worksheet that takes the Finish (Column I), the Date (Column B), and the person's Name (Column C) and places the points for that day according to placed Finished in Column N. The formula should use the Groups below with every player for that day allocated a point value based on their finish. Note: please make formula so I can cut and paste in MS Office 365 Excel. Please also tell me what cell(s) to put format into.

4-group tiered scoring system where all players receive points, adjusted for participation size:
Group 1: Small Group (8-16 players)
• 1st place: 10 points
• 2nd place: 9 points
• 3rd place: 8 points
• Decreases until last place gets 1 point (e.g., 16th = 1 point).
Group 2: Medium Group (17-24 players)
• 1st place: 15 points
• 2nd place: 14 points
• 3rd place: 13 points
• Decreases until last place gets 1 point (e.g., 24th = 1 point).
Group 3: Large Group (25-36 players)
• 1st place: 20 points
• 2nd place: 19 points
• 3rd place: 18 points
• Decreases until last place gets 1 point (e.g., 36th = 1 point).
Group 4: Very Large Group (37-48 players)
• 1st place: 25 points
• 2nd place: 24 points
• 3rd place: 23 points
• Decreases until last place gets 1 point (e.g., 48th = 1 point).

This system ensures that the points increase with the number of participants, and every player earns points regardless of their finish, but the winners on larger-participation days are rewarded more heavily.
